Here's our "Shout-out:" When the Beat was born takes us through the coming about of one of the first DJs nationally known, DJ Kool Herc! Here's an interview with DJ Kool Herc explaining how he first established the merry-go-round for the turntables: Let's finish up with this "HILARIOUS" one handed windmill freeze! Lol! :) One baby-girl in the library owned the one-handed handstand! SHE IS MY ROLE-MODEL...FOR REAL! :)


Seriously, get your hands on this book! If you're a parent in your 30s like me, it's a trip of a trip down memory lane for all 80s/90s kids! Let's bust a move!
