Library #Spooktacular! It's time to get SCARED!! :)
Welcome to my 2015 SPOOKTACULAR: The Library of Gloom!!!
For those that follow me, you know how much I enjoy this time of the year! I've created a non-fiction, but superbly spooky interactive video! Scan the code below and BE FoReWaRnEd!!!
This post does contain frightening and unnerving videos as well as kid-friendly resources. However, please take caution if you're sensitive to scary movies...as there's plenty of that here!
This next little feature is specifically for my students who wonder where "Robert the Doll" is...here's the book that started the madness about Robert!
Here's a classic video on carving pumpkins...
I've grown to LOVING GO NOODLE! For Halloween, they have a #GoNoodleween contest! Here's our "Bones" doing his dance! Lol! :)
Need some tips on How to Write Horror? See what R.L. Stine says when writing fiction...
I love R.L. Stein--and it's not because Goosebumps is coming out on Friday!--but it IS because he has captured my heart with the return of audio-stories! There's nothing better than turning off all of the lights in the library and having the students listen to these tender-creepy bits: Welcome to My Nightmare!
We have some new "shelfmembers" in the library... For those of you that follow my blog, faithfully, thank you! Also, you know I've a new best friend: Marcus Ewert, the author of Mummy Cat! Okay, maybe he ISN'T my best friend, but I wish he was! Anyways, I can't get enough of cats or mummies after reading his book. Check out this Cute Mummy cat here...
UPDATE: HERE ARE MY WINNING MUMMIES! I'M PROUD OF ALL OF THE ENTRIES!
What's Halloween without some kind of MUMMY? Right now, there's a contest going on for the book Mummy Cat, which I featured in a previous post. Presently, they're holding a contest with the #MummifyThisContest. Please read more here and check out my "Mummify" Super-hero and our contest announcement!
If I talk about MUMMIES, then I must mention ZOMBIES! This book gave me nightmares...
For those of you without QR accessibility, here's my scare-tastic video below. Use the class code: e09Nmy
And, because I know there's something unique about me and what I find beautiful, take a gander at the new & improved PROM QUEEN!
